Dry-Type Transformer

Safe and eco-friendly, oil-free and recommended for indoor environments with environmental restrictions.

Dry-type medium voltage transformers are designed to provide safety, reliability, and energy efficiency without the use of insulating oil. They are recommended for indoor environments and locations that require greater protection against environmental and fire risks, ensuring long service life and low maintenance costs.

  • Frequency: 50 or 60 Hz.
  • Insulation: epoxy resin or vacuum pressure impregnation (cast resin / VPI).
  • Temperature rise class: F (100 ºC) or H (125 ºC).
  • Cooling system: AN (air natural) or AF (air forced).
  • Protection degree: IP-00 up to IP-55, according to installation environment.
  • Applicable standards: ABNT NBR 10295, IEC 60076-11, IEEE C57.12.01.

Benefits

  • Higher safety against fire and environmental contamination.
  • Simplified installation in indoor areas or restricted-access locations.
  • High reliability and low maintenance.
  • Excellent performance in hospitals, shopping centers, industries, commercial buildings, and renewable energy systems.

Common Applications

  • Large commercial and residential buildings – condominiums, shopping malls, and office complexes.
  • Hospitals and clinics – where fire safety is essential.
  • Industries – especially in indoor areas or where the use of insulating oil is restricted.
  • Data centers and telecommunications – due to reliability and low maintenance.
  • Compact urban substations – where space is limited and safe operation is required.
  • Convention centers, stadiums, and airports – high-density public areas.
  • Facilities near sensitive areas – such as schools, universities, and laboratories.
